The Bastli bought two old, broken arcade machines in summer of 2014 and equipped with a DIY joystick controller (based on STM32F0), MAME build, ATI on CRT display on linux and many other features.
High voltage, old cables, light bulbs and short circuits have complicated the project. Now two are fully Functional arcade machines in the lounge at the AMIV, on which are played lively and high scores are compared. Among other things, classics such as PacMan and Metal Slug can be played.
One of the arcade machines was repaired during 2023-2024. The arcade machines regularly need servicing. As of 2025, one arcade is still operational.
